So far, so good. It’s been pretty cool working in it. After the small learning curve in understanding some of the advanced features, the tool seems very useful for creating engaging content. The widgets are definitely useful to switch up the experience for the user and keep things fresh. And, the inclusion of importing custom html 5 content provides a limitless avenue for enabling completely unique interactive experiences.

Ultimately, if you’re creating a book and plan to have it visually designed, it may be good to take a step back and see how a platform such as iBooks Author can really make your content stand out particularly on the iPad platform.

Now, of course, there also is the avenue of using Demibooks Composer for illustrated books and Adobe Digital Publishing (via InDesign 5 or newer) when developing magazine-style books. But I’ll expand upon that in another post.
